Most people who come to see us have tried to quit smoking before, only to start again when life gets stressful, when they drink, or around certain people. This one‑session hypnotherapy approach is designed to help you stop smoking permanently in a single, focused appointment of around 2 hours, by working with both your conscious plans and your unconscious habits.
In your session, you and your therapist discuss your worries about quitting, then create a clear, practical “how‑to” plan so you can look after yourself as you become someone who does not smoke. The hypnosis work is tailored to your needs—focusing on the triggers, situations and beliefs that matter most to you—rather than using a generic script, which makes the process more relevant and effective.

We have been helping people quit this way for over 25 years (we’ve been in the same office building since 1997!) and have refined our processes along the way. It’s a big part of our practice, and we wouldn’t be in business if we weren’t helping people. A 2023 meta-analysis of 9 RCTs found hypnosis significantly boosts smoking cessation success (Fauziyyah, et al., 2023) while the use of hypnosis along with other techniques (like those techniques we use alongside hypnosis in our Quit sessions) doubles quit rates according to a Cochrane review (Barnes et al., 2019).
We’d love to show you how you can quit.
