Our Practitioners

Glenn Chandler, Dip. C.H. — Principal Therapist

Glenn Chandler is the founding principal of Brisbane Hypnosis Centre’s Everton Park clinic, where he has practised since 1997. He holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy and is a Clinical Member of the Guild of Australian Hypnotherapists (GoAH) and a Registered Hypnotherapist with the Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA). Glenn works across the full range of issues seen at the clinic — including anxiety, habits, trauma, sleep, confidence, and performance — drawing on a wide range of therapeutic influences, with particular respect for the work of Joseph Barber and the practical methods of Richard Bandler. His approach centres on listening without judgement and creating the conditions for real, lasting change that is right for each individual. Among his areas of interest is working with musicians and performers, for whom he brings both therapeutic skill and personal understanding as a trained musician.

Philip Hollingdale, Dip. C.H. — Clinical Hypnotherapist

Philip Hollingdale holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy and qualifications in NLP, and has been associated with Brisbane Hypnosis Centre since 2001. He rejoined the practice full-time in 2020 after an earlier period practising with the clinic from 2005 to 2009. Philip is known for his empathic, client-centred approach and a strong grounding in hypnotherapy theory, which allows him to tailor his work flexibly to each individual’s needs. He works across the full range of presenting concerns at the clinic, including anxiety, pain, habits, confidence, and general wellbeing. Philip is a Clinical Member of GoAH and a Registered Hypnotherapist with the HCA.

Carol Moore, Dip. C.H. — Clinical Hypnotherapist

Carol Moore has been a clinical hypnotherapist at Brisbane Hypnosis Centre since 2003. She holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy and has trained in Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnosis. Carol came to hypnotherapy through her own experience of using it to quit smoking, and brings a deep personal appreciation for the process of change to her practice. She is known for her open, non-judgmental approach — listening carefully to each client’s individual experience before shaping her therapeutic response. Carol is a regular attendee at professional development workshops and works across the full range of presenting concerns at the clinic. She is a Clinical Member of GoAH and a Registered Hypnotherapist with the HCA.

Rachel KennedyPractice Manager & Clinical Supervisor

Rachel Kennedy has been with Brisbane Hypnosis Centre since its establishment in 1997. She holds degrees in communication and complementary medicine, is trained in hypnosis, and is a qualified clinical supervisor for practising hypnotherapists. Rachel currently serves as Treasurer of the Guild of Australian Hypnotherapists and contributes to clinical hypnotherapy training. As practice manager, she coordinates client care and supports the clinical team through ongoing supervision structures.

Session Fees

A first session is $240 and runs approximately 1.5 hours, with 2 hours allowed. Follow-up sessions are $150 for 60 minutes, with 90 minutes allowed. Most clients attend an average of 2–3 sessions, typically booked a couple of weeks apart.

Quit Smoking is offered as a single session for $295, with 2 hours allowed. A concession rate of $205 applies for people aged 16–22. Quit Vaping is a two-session program at $295 for the first session and $55 for the second. A group discount is available for two or more people booking together at $250 each.

Reduced fees are available on a case-by-case basis for people on lower incomes, and payment plans can be arranged for smoking and vaping cessation programs. The clinic’s position is that financial circumstances should not be a barrier to accessing hypnotherapy — people are welcome to call or email before booking to discuss their situation privately. Proven, Evidence-Based Practice

Brisbane Hypnosis Centre delivers clinical hypnotherapy supported by peer-reviewed research:

  • Anxiety: Meta-analysis shows hypnosis outperforms controls by 79–84% (Valentine et al., 2019).
  • Smoking Cessation: Using hypnosis with other methods (such as the psychotherapy approaches used by our practitioners) doubles quit rates (Barnes et al., Cochrane 2019).
  • Weight Loss: Doubles Cognitive Behavioural Techniques (CBT) results, sustained over time (Kirsch, 1996).

Sessions are personalised, drawing on established techniques refined through thousands of client sessions since 1997.
